In the role of a Teller Assistant at Rockland Trust, you serve as a cornerstone of our branches and the primary interface for customer interactions, proactively addressing customer inquiries and offering bespoke advice to promote relationship building. Through your daily efforts, you create lasting impressions on customers and play an essential part in advancing both branch and organizational objectives.

You are the approachable face of Rockland Trust, championing our goals and guiding customers through the intricacies of banking.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure that customers are greeted with a friendly welcome when they walk into the branch and are directed to the right team member to meet their needs effectively.
• Engage in persistent customer assistance, demonstrating efficient, impactful, and respectful customer service through in-person interactions and telephone conversations.
• Help clients in choosing the Rockland Trust banking products that best fit their individual preferences and circumstances.
• Demonstrate attentiveness towards clients by accurately executing responsibilities including deposit processing, withdrawal facilitation, payment acceptance, check verification, and other financial transactions.
• Collaborate with your direct supervisor in making decisions, with the potential for increased responsibility as you become more skilled and experienced in your role.
• Work in close conjunction with both our training and branch teams to gain insights into these tasks, as well as to successfully undertake the Teller Training course at Rockland Trust.
• Execute miscellaneous duties as directed by superiors.

Required Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or a similar certification is a must.
• Demonstrating proficiency in both speaking and written expression.
• Knowledgeable in leveraging technology, including computers, to enable the accomplishment of business goals.
• Having a sales-focused and service-oriented personality.
• Demonstrating the ability to sustain a professional outlook and appearance.
• Upholding an affirmative attitude when interacting with customers and team associates.
• Having the competency to fulfill the standard office obligations, which consist of extended periods of standing and consistent customer service.
• Proficient in the lifting and carrying of loads that are 50 pounds or less.
• Preparedness and competency to engage in a flexible workweek, possibly spanning weekends, as determined by customer needs.
• Proving the aptitude to competently accomplish our training regimen

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Candidates are required to have a background in teller responsibilities or possess customer service skills along with cash handling experience for 1-2 years.
