Job Description:

The Branch Banking Associate role will provide services for Banking Center customers and assist the team in achievement of sales, service, and operation goals, based on Webster's Strategic Guidelines. The role will process all customer related financial transactions in accordance with the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Bank. Additionally, this role uses excellent communication and active listening skills to learn about the customer's financial needs, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, generate leads, and provide quality customer service as well as develop and maintain a strong partnership with various business segments through collaboration and communication. Ability to supervise and coach fellow relationship Bankers

Responsibilities:

• Addressing customers' needs swiftly and accurately is achieved by maximizing the available resources and tools
• Identifying the needs of clients and providing relevant financial products and services by engaging in needs-driven discussions to establish and strengthen partnerships.
• Complete ordinary teller duties such as processing deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and additional transactions as required.
• Strengthen the segmentation strategy by executing sales, retention, and various banking initiatives to reach the growth and profitability goals of the Banking Center.
• The objective is to achieve or surpass targets in sales, service, and operational functions both individually and collectively as a team
• Adhering to Federal and State regulations alongside internal bank policies and procedures. Achieving or exceeding branch audit standards and operational evaluation expectations
• Support supervision of banking center colleagues by offering coaching support to fellow bankers. Lead by example and assist in the orientation of new bankers to the team.

Learning, Expertise, and Capabilities:

• High school diploma/GED is a minimum qualification, with a preference for those holding an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Preference for candidates who possess 2-4 years of customer sales and service experience, with 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity. Demonstrated effectiveness in guiding, coaching, and inspiring others.
• In-depth understanding of the various products and services
• Ensures familiarity with all systems used for branch transaction processing.
• Exemplifies outstanding customer service skills and the ability to promote teamwork, cultivating a positive working environment.
• Ability to adjust to a flexible and/or rotating schedule, with the expectation of working weekends, extended hours, and the possibility of traveling to alternate Banking Centers.
