A Branch Operations Associate provides personalized financial solutions by assisting customers with daily banking needs, opening and maintaining accounts, and recommending appropriate products and services.

Key job requirements and accountabilities:

Business Development:

• Quickly establish a consistent SBA business development cadence in the marketplace, including but not limited to:
• Organizing calls and monitoring outcomes
• Client retention calls
• New client prospecting
• Using outbound calls to establish connections with others
• Networking events
• Grow and fortify a mature Center of Influence (COI) ecosystem comprised of influential figures from both community and business realms to foster referral opportunities
• Accountable for sales-related activities, credit analysis, structuring loans correctly, packaging and submitting SBA loan requests, conducting client interviews, and assessing individual qualities
• Establish and nurture fresh partnerships to drive innovation and progress in your business

Credit Acumen:

• Possesses a solid understanding of the different credit avenues accessible to enterprises, including:
• Crafting suitable terms and goods that cater to the specific needs of the business, duration of assets, and growth strategy
• The analysis of financial statements and tax returns enables financial institutions to make informed decisions regarding the creditworthiness and risk of potential borrowers
• Matching credit demands in the short and long terms with the ebb and flow of business sales cycles and future expansion plans
• Guides potential clients on bank underwriting guidelines, SBA initiatives, and relevant governmental regulations
• Facilitates communication between attorneys, loan closing specialists, and internal team members to ensure loans are closed and funded promptly
• Manages the interplay between business priorities, customer demands, and risk management strategies
• Follows the ethical and professional requirements of Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct
• Provides mentorship to junior SBA lending professionals to foster their success
• Abides by the bank's protocols and guidelines, which encompass regulatory frameworks like BSA, AML, and OFAC stipulations
• Processes loan applications and gathers necessary applicant information while ensuring adherence to equitable lending standards and ethical sales practices
• Manages customer complaints in a timely and professional fashion, escalating any unresolved matters as required

Education And Experience:

• A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is a must
• Individuals with a finance-related college degree are the preferred candidates
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of specific experience in SBA lending
• Successful candidates will have extensive experience exceeding 10 years in business development and financial services
• Exceptional communication skills across written, verbal, and interpersonal domains
• Expertise in managing desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite applications
