Job Description for Consumer Banking Associate:

Provide quality, accurate, and timely customer service through daily processing of financial transactions and account openings in a retail banking environment. The Consumer Banking Associate introduces bank products and services through outreach to prospects and delivers tailored recommendations to existing clients to deepen relationships. This role supports banking center goals by meeting or exceeding sales and referral targets, conducting outbound sales activities, and assisting banking center management as needed.

Qualifications for Consumer Banking Associate:

• The educational prerequisite involves obtaining either a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• One year of working as a Teller is the preferred level of experience.
• Adequate clearance in the credit check is a necessary condition for the completion of the background investigation.

Sales and Service:

• Provide necessary support to tellers and customers to enhance service quality and reduce client wait times.
• Administer teller activities that involve handling deposits, withdrawals, currency transactions, and check cashing.
• Offer assistance in opening and maintaining deposit accounts, which may include checking, savings, IRAs, CDs, and money market accounts.

• Investigate and address client inquiries related to their account status and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Deliver client experiences that are consistently professional, positive, and exceptional.
• Promptly and efficiently resolve any questions or concerns clients may have.
• Deepen your understanding of offerings by participating in sales gatherings, educational workshops, and online learning resources.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Follow all required banking regulations, policies, procedures, and internal monitoring protocols.
• Follow the specified risk management norms while upholding the ethical standards outlined in the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
• Maintain compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 as well as any related regulatory stipulations.

Operational Efficiency:

• Collaborate with banking center associates to facilitate daily operational processes, emphasizing the importance of audit controls.
• Provide hands-on training opportunities for new associates to learn the ropes of banking center management.
• Remain up-to-date on operational developments and procedural modifications to ensure sustained compliance.
• Perform any other assigned work duties.

Computer and Office Equipment Skills:

• Skillful in utilizing the features of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Competency in using office and banking tools, like a 10-key calculator and coin-counting devices.

DeGarmo Behavioral Assessment Requirement:

• Completion of the DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment is obligatory for any potential candidate.
• It generally takes between 12 and 15 minutes to complete the assessment.
• Submission of assessment results must precede the review of applications by Talent Acquisition.
