As an Investment Banker (IB), you will be responsible for building, expanding, and retaining existing client relationships while providing an exceptional client experience. Investment Bankers will provide expert financial solutions to existing and prospective clients by assessing their financial needs and offering solutions through bank products and services to help clients accomplish their current and future financial goals. Investment Bankers will be experts in marketing Simmons solutions to our existing customer base and prospects through daily interactions, outbound calling efforts, business visits, networking events, and periodic 'At Work' events. Investment Bankers are expected to achieve and/or exceed their established individual and branch goals. They may also assist clients with account service and maintenance requests, teller transactions, problem resolution, and other transactional needs. It is expected that Investment Bankers are professional and positive Simmons Ambassadors while meeting and exceeding our client's expectations. All Investment Banker positions will receive the same training on all requisite products, services, needs-based conversations, and other tools necessary to perform the role.
Main Tasks and Obligations:
Educate and advise customers on the full suite of the bank's services, including in-branch services, digital tools, and collaborative business partnerships.
Achieve personal targets by conducting in-person and outbound calls to share valuable solutions and recommendations based on a needs-focused philosophy.
Manage all account functions, including assisting clients with account selection, performing account investigations, and complying with BSA and CIP regulations.
Support consumer loan requests: process loan applications, maintain knowledge of loan guidelines and operations, and help manage consumer loan balances within the branch network.
Identify client needs and direct them to a dedicated team that works with small business owners, corporate partners, institutions, financial advisors, and mortgage specialists.
Maintain high customer satisfaction by engaging effectively with clients and ensuring an exceptional service experience.
Ensure all departmental documentation and operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including mandatory compliance training.
Interact positively and professionally with customers while processing requests and transactions, engaging in genuine conversations to assess needs and provide solutions.
Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to positively influence and communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings with clients, customers, and colleagues.
Adopt a team-centric approach to better serve customers in an evolving and fast-paced banking environment.
Lead and mentor the branch team following standard operating procedures in the absence of the AFCM.
Education And/Or Experience:
HS Diploma/GED
One year of frontline customer service experience with a goal-oriented focus
Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required
Computer Skills:
MS Office programs
Maximize brand exposure and market knowledge through strategic utilization of social media channels
Other Qualifications:
Limited and sporadic travel for meetings, training programs, and supporting bank conversions and acquisitions, with minimal overnight or out-of-town arrangements.
Ability to provide guidance and assistance to other financial institutions in the market.
