Deliver excellent, accurate, and timely customer service by managing daily financial transactions and assisting with account openings in a retail banking setting. The Retail Banking Specialist educates prospective clients on available bank products and services, provides personalized guidance to existing customers, and helps strengthen client relationships. This role supports the banking center’s objectives by achieving sales and referral targets, engaging in outbound sales efforts, and providing support to management as needed.

Qualifications for Retail Banking Specialist:

• Requirements include holding a high school diploma or a GED for educational credentials.
• The preference is for candidates with one year of experience as a Teller.
• A positive outcome in the credit background check is a mandatory requirement for the completion of the verification procedure.

Sales and Service:

• Offer assistance to both tellers and customers as required to ensure efficient service provision and minimize wait times.

• Create and service a variety of deposit accounts, including checking, savings, IRAs, certificates of deposit, and money market accounts.

• Promote client retention and business growth through cross-selling initiatives and referrals to bank partners, aiming to diversify revenue sources and cultivate enduring client relationships.
• Participate in specialized deposit and loan campaigns by conducting outbound calls to clients and prospects consistently.
• Guide customers through the process of applying for personal and retail consumer loans and ensure that the completed applications are passed on to the suitable associate.

Client Experience:

• Assist clients in resolving their issues by conducting research and responding to inquiries about their account statuses.
• Ensure that every client interaction is professional, positive, and consistently excellent.
• Diligently and effectively address and resolve client inquiries and concerns.
• Strengthen your familiarity with products and services through active engagement in sales meetings, training workshops, and online learning modules.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Abide by all applicable bank regulations, policies, operational procedures, and internal risk management controls.
• Comply with the risk management standards and the ethical guidelines outlined in the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
• Abide by the provisions of the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all relevant regulatory requirements.

Operational Efficiency:

• Guide and advise staff members at financial institutions on daily operational tasks, particularly in terms of audit monitoring.
• Help new associates gain practical experience in the day-to-day operations of banking centers.
• Keep yourself abreast of operational updates and procedural shifts to ensure ongoing adherence.
• Fulfill any other job-related functions as designated.

Computer and Office Equipment Skills:

• Competent in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite applications effectively.
• Able to handle office and banking equipment, including a 10-key calculator and coin counter.

DeGarmo Behavioral Assessment Requirement:
