The Role of a Investment Banking Associate :

The primary role of a Investment Banking Associate is to understand the financial needs of customers and offer appropriate banking products and services.

The primary responsibility of an Investment Banking Associate is to create, expand, and maintain existing client relationships while delivering an exceptional customer service experience. Associates provide tailored financial solutions to current and prospective clients by evaluating their financial needs and recommending appropriate banking products and services to support both present and future financial goals.

Fundamental Tasks and Obligations :

• Educate customers on the full range of the bank’s products and services, including in-person support, digital banking tools, and partnerships with other business units
• Achieve individual performance goals through appropriate levels of in-person engagement and outbound calling using a needs-based approach
• Perform duties related to opening and closing accounts, assisting customers in selecting appropriate products, reviewing account information, and ensuring adherence to BSA and CIP standards
• Assist with consumer loan inquiries by collecting applications, maintaining awareness of loan policies and procedures, and supporting the management of consumer loan portfolios at branch locations
• Identify customer needs and direct clients to specialized teams serving small businesses, corporate clients, financial advisors, and mortgage professionals
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by actively engaging clients and enhancing their overall banking experience
• Ensure all departmental documentation and activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and mandatory compliance training requirements
• Deliver excellent customer service by accurately processing transactions and requests while identifying opportunities to provide appropriate financial solutions
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications :

• Strong ability to communicate and influence effectively in one-on-one and small group settings with customers and internal team members
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to support customers in a fast-paced banking environment
• Ability to provide leadership guidance to branch staff in alignment with standard operating procedures when the Assistant Financial Center Manager (AFCM) is unavailable

Education and/or Experience :

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of one year of customer-facing experience with a strong focus on achieving performance goals
• Active registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required

Computer Skills :

• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Ability to leverage social media platforms to enhance brand awareness and market insight

Other Qualifications :

• Occasional travel for meetings, training, and support during bank conversions or acquisitions, with minimal overnight travel
• Ability to provide support and guidance to other banking institutions within the market
