Offers exceptional service to BMO customers and potential clients by identifying their needs and offering advice on financial solutions that align with their best interests. Collaborates effectively within the branch and through various channels with BMO partners to provide the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leads the way in actively involving current customers and potential leads by conducting needs-based evaluations to enhance loyalty and identify immediate or future opportunities in a proactive manner.
  • Supports customers in completing assessments aimed at identifying financial solutions and preferred banking options while recommending personalized solutions that cater to both sales and service needs, covering areas like everyday banking services, retail investment choices, lending opportunities, home financing options (including self-employed applications), and small business solutions.
  • Supports clients in optimizing their banking procedures by suggesting and explaining the digital and self-serve options at their disposal.
  • Manages customer transactions effectively by responding to fluctuating customer traffic.
  • Fosters customer relationships to help BMO expand its business through outreach, appointment setting, and establishing new connections within the community.
  • Offers solutions to consumer credit audit inquiries and quality assessment problems to verify precise data entry and lending application recommendations in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and lending guidelines.
  • Adhering to the risk management framework helps in securing the Bank's assets and maintaining the quality of the lending portfolio while complying with the requirements for the lending process and established guidelines for yield, quality, diversification, and risk.
  • Assists in determining creditworthiness for personal lending requests, including home loans, following the Bank's credit assessment framework and guidelines.
  • Acts as a pivotal member of an engaged and agile division and industry team.
  • Employing probing methods to comprehend customer personal banking and credit card needs and fusing marketing promotions and programs into customer interactions to offer strategic guidance.
  • Ensures that work information is organized in a manner that is both accurate and complete.
  • Leads the way in finding new and imaginative approaches that contribute to a more personalized customer experience.
  • Seeks avenues to contribute positively to the ongoing enhancement of the overall customer journey.
  • Plays a part in driving business success and enhancing the overall customer experience.
  • Meeting market requirements by working at multiple branches or channels may require adjusting weekly schedules to accommodate varying shifts, hours, and days of work.
  • Executes risk and compliance processes to safeguard customer assets, maintain their privacy, and act in their best interest.
  • Keeps in touch with the broader financial services marketplace, the legal and regulatory landscape, and our commitment to maintaining the highest ethical requirements of our industry.
  • Integrates information about personal banking products, practices, and trends acquired through ongoing learning into customer conversations.
  • Spots and notifies relevant agencies of irregular activities that raise concerns of potential money laundering involvement.
  • Observes the legal and regulatory standards relevant to the area.
  • Guarantees the safeguarding of the bank's assets while following all regulatory, legal, and ethical obligations.
  • Engages in a wide array of complex duties while operating within specified boundaries, which could encompass the management of escalations from other team members.
  • Considers problems and determines the appropriate next actions.
  • More comprehensive tasks or roles could be allocated as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Having around 2 to 3 years of pertinent experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field is advantageous, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
  • Compliance with jurisdiction-specific regulations has been ensured through the successful completion of the registration process for selling investment products in Canada.
  • Appropriate loan criteria and certifications.
  • Attaining a working comprehension of the requisites and solutions tailored for personal and small business customers.
  • Grasp of retail investment products and loan services.
  • It is considered beneficial to have experience in financial services.
  • Confident and skilled in the utilization of social media, tablets, smartphones, online services, and software.
  • Hands-on experience in a consultative customer service or sales role, showcasing a determination to provide a personal touch in customer interactions.
  • Fervent commitment to providing assistance to our customers.
