Portfolio Credit Manager

Job Description:

The Commercial Real Estate Group (CREG) is currently recruiting for a Portfolio Credit Manager who will be responsible for tasks including underwriting, credit monitoring, and managing portfolios for acquisition, value-add/bridge, and construction loans across all asset categories.

Responsibilities:

• Support the RM in structuring, underwriting, and administering non-owner-occupied commercial real estate loans while complying with the Bank's predetermined criteria and protocols.
• Engage as the intermediary for the Relationship Manager in correspondence with clients, legal representatives, and internal business partners, enhancing operational efficiency and relationship management.
• Scrutinizing and outlining pre-screening synopses, official loan certification memos, revisions, annual evaluations, and changes in risk grading.
• Continuous portfolio maintenance includes overseeing financial records, ensuring adherence to covenants, and reassessing risk ratings to make changes when needed.
• Follow all regulatory and credit requirements mandated by the Bank.
• Undertake supplementary administrative tasks and special projects to support the maintenance of clients.

Qualifications:

• An applicant should have either a bachelor's degree or a fusion of educational qualifications and directly connected experience.
• The ideal candidate will have gained between 5 and 10 years of experience in commercial banking, with a minimum of 2 years of direct involvement in managing commercial real estate portfolios.
• Sound underwriting knowledge, Excel data modeling proficiency, and polished business writing capabilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret the financial statements of individuals, companies, and investment funds.
• Exhibits a strong understanding of credit policy and procedures and can accurately determine the risk rating for loans/credits.
• Find ways to address issues with problematic loan credits.
• Shows proficiency in treasury and derivative products, showcasing the capability to optimize the Bank's resources to deliver customized full-service solutions to the firm.
