Job Description:
The Financial Relationship Banker position involves serving customers at the Banking Center and aiding the team in reaching sales, service, and operational objectives following Webster's Strategic Guidelines. Responsibilities include handling all financial transactions for customers in compliance with the Bank's rules and regulations. Furthermore, the role utilizes effective communication and attentive listening abilities to understand customers' financial requirements, build trust, maximize sales prospects, create leads, offer superior customer service, and cultivate enduring partnerships with different business sectors through cooperation and communication. It also involves overseeing and mentoring other relationship Bankers.
Responsibilities:
Responding to customers' needs promptly and accurately is about utilizing available resources and tools efficiently.
Assessing the requirements of customers and presenting suitable financial services and products by engaging in conversations focused on their needs, with the aim of fostering and enhancing connections.
Engage in standard teller responsibilities which encompass processing deposits, withdrawals, check encashment, loan repayments, and any other necessary financial transactions.
Enhance the segmentation strategy by implementing sales, retention, and additional bank initiatives to achieve the growth and profitability goals of the Banking Center.
The anticipated outcome is to achieve or exceed set benchmarks in sales, service, and operational endeavors, whether working individually or within a team.
Ensuring adherence to both Federal and State regulations along with internal bank policies and procedures. Meeting or surpassing expectations set by branch audits and assessments of operational efficiency.
Provide oversight for colleagues at the banking center by offering coaching support to other bankers. Act as a role model and help in the training of new bankers joining the team.
Training, Previous Experience, and Skill Proficiency:
A high school diploma or GED is mandatory, and candidates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree are preferred.
Experience in customer sales and service for a period of 2 to 4 years, with a preference for 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role. Proven track record in effectively guiding, training, and inspiring others.
Complete insight into all products and services provided.
Stays up to date with all the systems employed for branch transaction processing.
Illustrates adeptness in customer service and the capability to enhance teamwork, ultimately creating a beneficial working environment.
Capability to accommodate a versatile and/or shifting timetable. Might need to work on weekends and beyond typical work hours. Travel may be necessary to different Banking Centers.
