Job Description:

Collaborates with designated Line of Business, as well as other professionals in the fields of Risk, Compliance, and Audit, alongside RCA Managers to establish, execute, monitor, or supervise a robust risk management structure. Engages in initiatives and tasks to guarantee adherence to relevant federal, state, and municipal statutes and rules. Pinpoints deficiencies and proposes remedies to decrease damages arising from insufficient internal procedures, technologies, or human mistakes. Recognizes, addresses, and raises awareness of risks as necessary. Acts as a connection point between the designated Line of Business and various Lines of Defense.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the management of the audit team in organizing audit projects, which involves comprehending risk factors and strategies for risk mitigation, recognizing and examining operational procedures, significant risks, and essential controls, conducting interviews with individuals being audited, and assessing the effectiveness of control frameworks.
  • Overseeing staff auditors in conducting control tests according to audit program guidelines, which involve applying suitable sampling and testing methods, evaluating pertinent concerns, and recording activities carried out to substantiate audit findings and comply with internal audit regulations.
  • Assisting audit team management in formulating audit problems by recognizing risks, importance, underlying reasons, and creating efficient suggestions.
  • Supporting audit team leaders in finalizing and concluding audit processes, such as preparing audit findings for presentation.
  • Utilizing guidance obtained through coaching sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Fulfilling additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Attaining a bachelor's degree is equivalent to gaining relevant work experience
  • Generally, having over five years of relevant experience is the norm

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Proficiency in various aspects of the financial services sector such as financial reporting, accounting, taxation, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance, regulatory adherence, and risk mitigation
  • Comprehensive grasp of the Global Guidelines for the Professional Conduct of Internal Auditors
  • CIA, CPA, or any other applicable professional certification or advanced educational qualification
  • Proficient abilities in verbal and written communication are essential
  • Possessing robust critical thinking and analytical abilities
  • Skill in handling numerous responsibilities and meeting various time constraints concurrently

Work Schedule:

The position entails a central timetable that necessitates a physical presence in the office for a minimum of three days each week, allowing for the option to work from a remote location for the remaining days.
