Wealth Manager

Job Description:

A Wealth Manager provides customized financial and investment solutions to clients by understanding their financial goals, managing relationships, coordinating banking and credit services, and recommending appropriate wealth management strategies and products.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Relationship and Business Growth:

• Establish and maintain a consistent SBA-related and wealth-focused business development cadence within the market, including but not limited to:
• Planning client outreach calls and managing follow-up activities
• Conducting client retention and relationship-deepening conversations
• Prospecting new clients and referral opportunities
• Engaging in outbound calls with individuals and business entities
• Participating in networking, community, and professional events
• Cultivate and expand a strong network of influential community and business leaders to generate referrals
• Oversee sales efforts, collaborate on credit evaluations, assist with loan structuring, coordinate SBA loan submissions, conduct client meetings, and assess client financial profiles
• Develop and nurture new relationships and strategic partnerships to grow the wealth management portfolio

Financial and Credit Expertise:

• Demonstrates strong knowledge of business financing and wealth-related credit solutions
• Structures tailored terms and financial offerings aligned with client objectives, asset life cycles, and long-term growth strategies
• Reviews personal and business financial statements and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and overall financial health
• Identifies short- and long-term credit needs based on cash flow trends, business cycles, and expansion plans
• Educates clients on loan evaluation processes, SBA programs, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Collaborates with attorneys, loan closing agents, and internal partners to ensure timely loan closing and funding
• Balances client preferences with sound risk management principles
• Adheres to ethical standards outlined in Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct
• Provides guidance and support to junior SBA lenders and team members
• Ensures compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including BSA, AML, and OFAC
• Reviews loan applications and gathers required documentation while maintaining fair lending and ethical sales practices
• Addresses client concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when appropriate

Education and Professional Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• College degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of five years of experience in SBA lending, private banking, or wealth management-related roles preferred
• At least ten years of experience in financial services, relationship management, or business development
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite applications
