Private Banker

Job Summary:

A Private Banker delivers personalized financial solutions to clients by assisting with daily banking needs, managing account openings and maintenance, and recommending suitable financial products and services.

Business Development:

• Establish and maintain a consistent SBA business development schedule in the market, including:
• Planning and tracking phone communications
• Client retention calls
• Prospecting new clients
• Making outbound calls to connect with prospects and clients
• Participating in networking events to build relationships
• Developing and enhancing a sophisticated Center of Influence (COI) network of community and business leaders to drive referral generation
• Overseeing sales operations, conducting credit evaluations, structuring loans, preparing and submitting SBA loan applications, meeting with clients, and assessing individual traits
• Forging new business relationships to support growth and expansion

Credit Acumen:

• Demonstrates a strong understanding of business credit, including:
• Creating tailored terms and offerings aligned with business needs, asset longevity, and strategic growth plans
• Analyzing financial statements and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and risk
• Evaluating short- and long-term credit requirements in line with business sales cycles and expansion strategies
• Advising prospective clients on bank underwriting standards, SBA programs, and relevant regulations
• Collaborating with attorneys, loan closing agents, and internal staff to ensure timely loan closing and funding
• Balancing business priorities with client expectations while managing risk exposure
• Adhering to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct
• Mentoring junior SBA lenders to support their professional development
• Following all bank policies and regulatory requirements, including BSA, AML, and OFAC
• Processing loan applications and collecting necessary applicant information while maintaining fair lending and ethical sales practices
• Managing customer inquiries professionally and escalating unresolved issues as necessary

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• College degree in a finance-related field is preferred
• At least five years of experience in SBA lending is desirable
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or financial services is required
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in using desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
