Job Summary:

First Financial Bank is seeking a motivated Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the lending process. This role is responsible for building referral networks, developing client relationships, and helping borrowers identify financing solutions that align with their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate new mortgage lending opportunities through referrals, networking, and relationship-building with customers, real estate professionals, builders, title companies, and other industry partners.
• Meet with prospective borrowers to evaluate financial information, credit history, and home financing objectives.
• Recommend mortgage products and explain loan programs, pricing options, and lending requirements.
• Develop and maintain long-term referral sources and business relationships to support ongoing loan production.
• Maintain a strong understanding of mortgage lending products, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver high-quality customer service throughout the mortgage application and approval process.
• Participate in training programs and stay informed on industry regulations and lending practices.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including BSA, AML, and company policies.
• Support the organization’s sales and service culture while contributing to team success.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of mortgage lending experience and at least 1 year of real estate or sales experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field may substitute for required experience.
• Working knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, underwriting standards, and loan programs.
• Familiarity with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and other residential mortgage lending programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of professionalism.
