The responsibilities of a Financial Consultant include offering personalized recommendations based on clients' financial goals and risk tolerance

The main duty of this role is to instill trust and cultivate strong client relations, evaluate individual investment needs, and provide specialized, personalized guidance to support clients in attaining their financial targets. This position involves delivering top-notch client onboarding experiences, actively monitoring and analyzing client portfolios, and devising and presenting suitable investment suggestions through the utilization of diverse bank-provided tools. As the primary contact for clients, the Financial Consultant's core responsibility is to offer investment advice rooted in client suitability, objectives, and timeline. The overarching objective is to nurture and strengthen customer loyalty and deepen client connections.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Individuals must possess a college degree and demonstrate a background of 3-5 years in the financial field
• It is typical for professionals in this field to possess a combination of licenses such as Series 7 and 66, or a mix of Series 7, 63, and 65, in addition to insurance licensing for life and health products
• The criteria for passing a background check as per U4 standards must be satisfied
• BMO and FINRA are responsible for the administration of ongoing education programs

Customer:

• Recognizing the dynamics of financial markets and determining the appropriate timing to offer advice to clients is crucial
• Developing trust and fostering lasting relationships with clients involves informing them about acceptable levels of risk and performance expectations crucial for attaining their financial aspirations.
• Cultivates strong client connections and develops tailored approaches to support clients in attaining their financial targets.
• Specialist in investment instruments across 15 diverse product classifications
• Mutual Funds
• Annuities
• Managed Accounts
• Marked Linked CDs
• Unit Investment Trust
• Retirement planning
• Yearly evaluations of fee-based account performances

Financial:

• Tasked with the development and progression of the portfolio
• Attain the monthly sales objective
• Obtaining Assets from Outside Sources (such as reaching out to both existing and new customers)
• Advice on Maturities
• Uncovering uninvested opportunities

Risk:

• Meeting the standards set by internal audits and FINRA
• The Advisor's primary function is to control access and oversee the approval process to ensure compliance with regulatory standards within the industry

Financial Advice:

• Investment Reviews
• Developing Financial Plans
• Solution Positioning
• Ensuring the Security of client Personal Information

Trading:

• Accuracy
• Discipline order/confirmation
• Evaluate the requirement for conducting the trade
• Ensure that every recommendation complies with the Best Interest Contract (BIC)
• Keep abreast and flexible in response to the dynamic regulatory framework
• Showcase deep understanding and function as a key expert in software applications like LPL's ClientWorks, SalesForce, and Moneyguide-Pro

• Decision Making - Offer investment guidance considering the client's suitability, investment horizon, and financial goals
• Offers wealth and investment services and advice to BMO clientele and potential leads after grasping their unique needs and goals. Provides tailored wealth and investment solutions that prioritize the customer's best interests.
• Executes customer service and sales procedures as authorized and also recognizes opportunities to refer clients to other internal divisions.
• Proficiency in Cost Basis, Tax documentation, IRA (Individual Retirement Account) RMD (Required Minimum Distribution) withdrawals, and penalties for premature withdrawals is crucial for financial awareness
• Confirm the accuracy of client account information and secure all necessary regulatory authorizations
• Exercise influence over investment recommendations in alignment with the offerings of the BIS and the regulations governing securities
• The responsibilities in this role play a critical role in the attainment of key objectives within the business unit
