Job Description:

Serving as the primary frontline representative for customers, the Retail Bank Teller ensures delivery of FirstBank’s high-quality service, processes financial transactions according to established procedures, assists customers with inquiries, and identifies and refers potential cross-selling opportunities when appropriate.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with transactional requests in accordance with bank policies, service standards, and brand guidelines, including responding to basic inquiries such as account balances, transaction history, fees, and interest rates.
• Maintain daily operational requirements by securing cash drawers, reconciling daily transactions, following item processing procedures, detecting counterfeit currency, handling coin processing, balancing ATM activity, and restocking teller station supplies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of banking products and services and educate customers on digital banking solutions such as mobile banking, online banking platforms, ATMs, and other digital channels.
• Identify customer needs and refer them to appropriate banking partners for additional products and services.
• Protect the bank from risk by following established procedures and confidentiality standards, including CTRs, SARs, Regulation CC holds, documentation requirements, and robbery response protocols.
• Provide consistent, high-quality customer service aligned with FirstBank service standards.
• Comply with all banking regulations, internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, including fraud prevention and secure cash handling practices.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Basic computer and math skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than two years of experience preferred.
• Must be bonded within the first six months of employment.
