Job Description:

Efficiently handle financial transactions and account openings in a retail banking setup to guarantee top-notch, precise, and timely customer support. The Client Services Banker reaches out to potential clients to inform them about available bank products and services and provides customized recommendations to current customers to strengthen customer loyalty. By exceeding sales and referral targets, this position actively engages in sales outreach and provides support to banking center management as necessary.

Qualifications:

• The minimum educational qualification entails having either a high school diploma or a GED.
• Previous Teller experience of one year is preferred.
• A clean credit history is essential for meeting the requirements of the background credit assessment.

Sales and Service:

• Deliver prompt assistance to tellers and clients to streamline operations and enhance service quality.
• Conduct teller activities including processing deposits, withdrawals, managing currency and coin transactions, and cashing checks.
• Administer and offer services for a range of deposit accounts, covering checking, savings, IRAs, CDs, and money market accounts.
• Engage in consultative talks to understand client needs and advise on appropriate banking offerings.
• Drive revenue growth by proposing complementary offerings and directing clients towards affiliated financial institutions to foster growth in both client base and rapport.
• Engage in scheduled outgoing calls to both existing clients and potential prospects, and actively participate in deposit and loan promotional events.
• Provide assistance to clients with personal and retail consumer loan applications and pass on the completed paperwork to the appropriate colleague.

Client Experience:

• Resolve client concerns by investigating issues and responding to questions about their account statuses.
• Maintain a standard of delivering client experiences that are both positive and consistent.
• Swiftly and proficiently handle client concerns and questions.
• Deepen your familiarity with products and services by joining sales briefings, educational workshops, and internet-based tutorials.

Compliance and risk management encompass monitoring and controlling behaviors to meet standards and mitigate potential dangers:

• Follow all pertinent banking regulations, policies, standard operating procedures, and internal audit controls.
• Follow the prescribed risk management criteria and adhere to the Code of Ethics established by First Horizon.
• Comply with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and any relevant rules and regulations that accompany it.

Operational Efficiency:

• Aid banking center associates in managing their routine tasks, particularly in ensuring compliance with audit controls.
• Offer on-the-job training to support the development of new associates in managing banking centers.
• Remain informed about operational developments and procedural adjustments to ensure sustained compliance.
• Execute all miscellaneous job assignments as instructed.

Mastery of computer and office tools is a key requirement for success in contemporary work settings:

• Proficient with the entirety of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skilled in the operation of office and banking equipment, including a 10-key calculator and coin counting machines.
