Job Description:

At Regions, the Universal Banker plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service, whether at the counter or over the phone, and aiding in enhancing the financial health of clients. The primary objective of this position is to establish genuine relationships with customers during transaction processing, identify opportunities for Regions to fulfill customer requirements, and help in addressing a wide range of customer service issues. Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensures a seamless customer service experience at the cash register by efficiently managing customers' routine banking transactions like deposits, withdrawals, and bill payments
• Assisting customers by addressing their queries about products and services and meeting their basic service needs, such as issuing new or replacement cards, updating information, resetting PINs, reordering checks, and resolving minor issues
• Establishes connections with clients, staying updated on their interactions with the financial institution
• Teaches clients about common consumer goods and technological innovations like mobile apps, internet platforms, and automated teller machines, aiming to simplify banking processes
• Supports colleagues within the team by helping with simple duties to contribute to addressing customer issues effectively
• Conducting outgoing telephone calls using created lists of potential customers and leads to inform individuals about new technology and aid them in addressing their financial requirements
• When intricate financial objectives and requirements are identified, clients are directed towards an in-house group of specialists
• Complies with all banking protocols and regulations while executing tasks designated by the Branch Manager, and as a team player, upholds prudent banking principles to handle and disclose operational hazards effectively
• Attains branch objectives and aspirations through recognizing customer requirements and delivering suitable advice and insights regarding Regions' offerings

This role involves monitoring the hours worked beyond 40 hours per week and qualifies for overtime pay as per the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements:

• Attaining a high school diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate is essential
• Availability to work on Saturdays when required
• Proficiency in managing currency and conducting financial transactions involving cash
• Proficiency in interpersonal, telephonic, and digital communication methods
• Proficiency in regular computer operation, such as typing and focusing on a screen for extended periods
• Being able to move and stay on one's feet for prolonged durations
• Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 20 pounds

Preferences:

• One year of experience in banking, cash management, or interacting with customers

Skills and Competencies:

• Demonstrating the capacity to follow established rules, protocols, and standards
• Capability to support clients in utilizing digital banking services
• Managing various tasks concurrently is a valuable skill
• Capability to manage significant amounts of money
• Demonstrating a solid commitment to meeting customer needs and developing strong connections with clients is essential
