Job Description for Portfolio Operations Manager:

The Portfolio Operations Manager assists in appraising risk and overseeing the Bank's loan portfolio by delivering analytical insights and credit supervision, overseeing tasks such as yearly evaluations, renewals, compliance monitoring of loan covenants, and managing financial collections for designated loan portfolios. Engages with Relationship Managers to cultivate and advance a superior and financially beneficial loan portfolio.

Responsibilities for Portfolio Operations Manager:

  • Analyze critical details to determine the risk level and to decide on the suitability of a prospect or existing credit as an acceptable risk.
  • Keep a close eye on credit risk trends at the customer and portfolio levels and promptly notify management of any changes in risk profiles.
  • Support Relationship Managers in client discussions to accurately discern and cater to the specific requirements of each client.
  • Collect the necessary financial data to support precise risk evaluation and thorough underwriting scrutiny.
  • Addressing client inquiries and validating the accuracy of all data for the loan underwriting evaluation.
  • Examine the global money flow for prospects, borrowers, and guarantors in both commercial and individual contexts.
  • Prepare and organize financial spreads, credit presentation sheets, narratives, relationship summaries, and loan pricing models.
  • Help in setting up the costs and structure for fresh loans and extensions.
  • Oversee and synchronize the loan closing and booking processes.
  • Track industry trends closely and scrutinize specialized data to identify potential risks.
  • Make sure to send out renewal communications every 120 days and perform comprehensive checks to confirm compliance with loan covenants and annual appraisals.
  • Ensure compliance with all essential regulations and training modules.
  • Execute any additional tasks as required.

Qualifications for Portfolio Operations Manager:

  • Qualification with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or similar work background.
  • Candidates with two years of experience or more are encouraged to apply, with a preference for those with two to four years of experience.
  • Advanced abilities in credit risk evaluation and analytical underwriting.
  • Focused on goals and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in interpersonal interactions and relationship development.
  • Possessing advanced skills in grammar, typing, and spelling capabilities.
  • Displays mastery in organizing tasks and allocating time wisely.
  • Efficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
