Role Overview:

As a Banking Consultant at First Citizens Bank, you will continue the practice of fostering and broadening relationships with business owners in your community to help them reach their financial objectives.

Banking Consultants are responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of business banking relationships.This associate engages bank partners to provide a full range of deposit and related business services. Larger relationships may be managed with manager approval and/or appropriate partner support. Develops and maintains an active prospect list, customer outreach plan and quality referral sources in accordance with a sales plan to achieve production goals and profitability objectives.

Qualifications:

• Qualifications include holding a bachelor's degree and having accumulated at least four years of experience in business lending, credit, or business development, or alternatively, holding a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of eight years of experience in the field.
• Demonstrated capability in driving business progress and established proficiency in enriching and advancing client connections.
• Having a solid grasp of financial analysis techniques and credit evaluation skills.
• Proficiency in business lending products, deposit alternatives, and practices for optimizing cash flow management.
• Demonstrates excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Organized conflicts of interest (COIs) and referral networks
• Effective financial analysis skills combined with credit underwriting expertise are essential in ensuring responsible lending practices and minimizing the risk of default
• Understanding business financing, deposit accounts, and cash handling techniques is necessary for business operations
• Ability to offer expert guidance and advice on financial topics
• Familiar with sales projection and strategic forecasting
