The Client Services Banker role is focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences through a combination of service excellence, product recommendations, and accurate transaction processing. This position requires strong interpersonal abilities, sales capability, and operational efficiency to support both customer satisfaction and organizational growth objectives.

Position Accountabilities:

• Strengthen customer retention by engaging in needs-based conversations that deliver a personalized banking experience
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of banking products and services across all business lines to effectively support customer needs
• Demonstrate proficiency in digital banking tools such as Zoom, Appointment Scheduler, DocuSign, GRO, Online Banking, Mobile Banking, and ATM Banking
• Encourage proactive sales conversations through internal and external interactions including outbound calling, converting service interactions into sales opportunities, teller engagement, and appointment scheduling
• Generate new customer relationships through active prospecting while expanding and deepening existing relationships
• Identify and close sales opportunities to meet individual and branch performance goals
• Support branch growth through customer acquisition and retention strategies
• Ensure daily cash balancing and accuracy of all transactions
• Adhere to all banking regulations, including BSA/AML compliance requirements
• Manage risk by following established policies and applying sound judgment within guidelines
• Perform complex branch operational duties as required
• Complete all mandatory training requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Organizational Relationship:

This position reports directly to the assigned Branch Leader.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• NMLS registration required or ability to obtain registration
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
• 1+ year of experience in banking or financial services preferred
• 1+ year of experience in sales and customer relationship development preferred
• Prior cash handling experience preferred
• Teller experience preferred
• Strong customer service experience required
• Lending experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong customer service and client engagement skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Strong business judgment and decision-making capability
• Proficiency with computer systems and digital banking platforms
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
• Adaptability to changing priorities and environments

Shift schedules may vary depending on business needs. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds is required. Compensation is based on education, experience, and certifications. This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation or discretionary profit-sharing bonuses.
