Job Description:

Commercial Bankers are responsible for delivering high-quality customer service, supporting sales initiatives, and managing a range of banking transactions. This role requires strong client engagement skills, product knowledge, and operational efficiency to effectively meet the financial needs of business clients.

Position Accountabilities:

• Build and strengthen customer loyalty through consultative conversations focused on individual business needs and tailored financial solutions
• Develop strong knowledge of the bank’s full suite of financial products and services
• Demonstrate proficiency in digital banking platforms including Zoom, Appointment Scheduler, DocuSign, GRO, Online Banking, Mobile Banking, and ATM services
• Drive proactive sales efforts through internal and external engagement, including outbound calls, converting service interactions into sales opportunities, teller interactions, and appointment scheduling
• Acquire new business clients through targeted prospecting while expanding existing relationships
• Identify and close sales opportunities to achieve individual and branch performance goals
• Support branch growth through effective client acquisition and retention strategies
• Collaborate with Mortgage, Investment, Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Merchant Services, and Treasury Management teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Identify client lending and financial service needs and provide appropriate solutions
• Resolve customer issues related to deposits, credit, and other banking services
• Adjust sales and service strategies based on performance scorecards and targets
• - Perform teller duties including cash handling and transaction processing when required
• Ensure daily cash balancing and accuracy of financial transactions
• Comply with all banking regulations, including BSA/AML requirements
• Manage risk by following policies and applying sound judgment within established guidelines
• Perform complex branch operational duties as assigned
• Complete all required training programs
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Organizational Relationship:

This position reports to the designated Branch Leader.

Qualifications – Education and Experience:

• NMLS registration required or ability to obtain registration
• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
• 1+ year of experience in banking or financial services preferred
• 1+ year of experience in sales and customer relationship management preferred
• Cash handling experience preferred
• Teller experience preferred
• Strong customer service background required
• Lending experience preferred

• Strong client service and relationship management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Strong business judgment and decision-making skills
• Proficiency with digital banking tools and systems
• Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail
• Adaptability to changing priorities and business needs

Work schedules may vary based on business needs. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds is required. Compensation is based on education, experience, and certifications. This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation or discretionary profit-sharing programs.
