Job Summary:

The Mortgage Production Supervisor is responsible for managing a group of Mortgage Loan Originators to meet sales targets and uphold high operational standards. This position involves nurturing skills, monitoring performance, building client connections, and guaranteeing adherence to mortgage laws.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of a small group of Mortgage Loan Originators.
• Obtain the necessary paperwork promptly from the relevant sources for processing, underwriting, and finalizing transactions.
• Achieve predetermined targets in loan volume origination as set by senior leadership on a yearly basis.
• Develop and nurture connections with real estate agents, construction companies, and other external channels to ensure a consistent influx of loan applications.
• Engage proactively in regional and statewide associations dedicated to mortgage banking, real estate agents, and construction professionals.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in the mortgage sector.
• Foster cooperative relationships within the U.S. Bank Home Mortgage division and other departments to enhance customer connections and drive supplementary product transactions.
• Hire, conduct interviews with, and provide training for new staff members.

Basic Qualifications:

• Obtaining a high school diploma or its equivalent is a common educational milestone
• Two or more years in a mortgage sales capacity

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Showcased proficiency in fostering growth for a new venture and managing client partnerships effectively
• Proficient understanding of sales techniques and approaches
• Comprehensive understanding of mortgage offerings, processes, and contemporary market dynamics
• Familiarity with the pricing and underwriting criteria of different mortgage insurance firms is essential
• Understanding the underwriting criteria for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, local bonding programs, and private investors is essential, whether acquired through hands-on experience in the field or through working within a real estate firm
• Knowledgeable about regulations at the local, state, and national levels, such as zoning laws, Truth-in-Lending Act, RESPA, and energy audit mandates
• Strong abilities in customer service and relationship management
• Demonstrating a keen focus on details and possessing the skills to examine financial data effectively
• Proficient abilities in interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
• It is essential for individuals to meet the necessary criteria for carrying out tasks beyond their usual workplace setting
• Developed network of recommendations within designated territory highly desired
• Demonstrated achievements in mortgage loan origination over a span of 2 years
