In your capacity as a Corporate Banker at First Citizens Bank, you will carry forward the tradition of cultivating and extending connections with business owners in your community to assist them in meeting their financial goals.

Corporate Bankers are responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of business banking relationships.This associate engages bank partners to provide a full range of deposit and related business services. Larger relationships may be managed with manager approval and/or appropriate partner support. Develops and maintains an active prospect list, customer outreach plan and quality referral sources in accordance with a sales plan to achieve production goals and profitability objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Support the bank's advancement by actively contributing to the increase in business loans, deposits, and fee revenue.
• Take advantage of your network to engage with local businesses and companies to develop opportunities for business financing.
• Participate in civic, community, and networking events to represent the bank effectively in the community.
• Take part in an efficient loan approval process by participating in open communication and engaging with credit partners.
• Participate in a collaborative team alongside different bank partners to deepen and fortify the full client relationship.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree and four years of experience in business lending, credit, or business development are required, although candidates with a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of eight years of experience in these areas will also be considered.
• Established history of business development prowess and confirmed capacity to initiate and escalate client affiliations.
• Displaying robust financial analysis skills and expertise in credit risk evaluation.
• Grasping the range of loan options, deposit products, and approaches to enhancing cash management efficiency.
• Exceptional talents in communication, negotiation, and public speaking.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fixed conflicts of interest (COIs) and referral origins
• Proficient credit underwriting and financial analysis capabilities are necessary for making sound lending decisions and managing credit risk effectively
• Knowing about business loaning, depositing, and managing cash flow is vital for companies
• Possessing the skill to provide guidance and expertise in financial matters
• Knowledgeable in sales forecasting and strategic planning
