Job Description:

At Regions, the Senior Retail Banking Specialist is responsible for meeting with customers and prospects both in person and on the phone to determine their financial needs, and meeting those needs by proactively offering appropriate products, services, and guidance to achieve their financial goals. This role will focus on acquiring and deepening existing customer relationships with a focus on Preferred Banking Households to include more complex, affluent solutions, wealth opportunities, investments, lending, debt consolidation, and in-depth saving conversations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Successfully reaches individual and branch goals by identifying customer needs in advance and delivering high-level advice and perspective on Regions' solutions, specifically catering to the needs of Preferred Banking Households
• Initiates outbound telephone communications by utilizing curated lists of customer and prospect leads from Preferred Banking and various consumer households to grow existing relationships and secure new ones
• Collaborates with the Branch Team to act as the main point of contact for a group of Preferred Banking Households
• Offers education and recommendations to individuals about Regions' array of Consumer and Business products and services, covering a broad spectrum of loan and deposit alternatives, annuities, and life insurance plans
• Educates clients on emerging technology and digital solutions like mobile banking, online services, and ATM functionalities, with the goal of streamlining the banking experience
• Delivers a constant and optimal customer experience, which could involve dividing the responsibilities for everyday branch tasks such as welcoming clients and overseeing transactions with the aim of enabling customers to carry out their banking in the manner they wish, at the time and location of their choice
• Handles and resolves customer difficulties and challenges professionally
• An internal team of experts is suggested to customers when additional financial goals and needs are acknowledged
• Assist in team building by sharing specialized knowledge with entry-level bankers
• Ensures full compliance with all banking processes and regulations, following instructions provided by the Branch Manager. Supports the branch team in promoting sound banking practices and in overseeing, identifying, and addressing operational risks adequately

This role requires monitoring the hours worked in excess of 40 per week and is eligible for overtime pay as outlined in the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements:

• Obtaining a high school diploma or GED is a pivotal step towards unlocking future educational and career pathways
• The position requires a minimum of two years of experience in banking, sales, or customer service
• Ability to manage cash flow and carry out cash transactions with proficiency
• Aptitude for interacting through personal interaction, phone calls, and electronic means
• Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
• Capability to work on Saturdays when necessary
• Being capable of walking and standing for prolonged durations
• Capable of transporting objects that weigh a maximum of twenty pounds

Certifications/Licensures:

• Life Insurance License

Compensation Details:

Pay ranges are established to act as a point of reference for setting compensation levels that correspond to the demands of each job. Variables such as experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, location of the position, and notably, job performance, serve as direct influencers on an employee's pay. Because these factors are unique to each individual, it is expected that compensation will differ among associates in the same job position.

The target data is established according to the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range related to the position's location and seniority level.

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a commission incentive plan. Employees have the potential to earn commission based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
