Treasury Specialist

Job Summary:

A Treasury Specialist supports treasury management solutions by partnering with business clients to optimize cash flow, enhance liquidity, and deliver efficient payment, receivables, and fraud-prevention services while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Main Duties and Obligations:

Business Development and Client Support:

• Establish and maintain a consistent approach to treasury-related business development in the market, including:
• Preparing for client calls and tracking follow-up actions
• Supporting client retention through ongoing service reviews and solution optimization
• Assisting with new client prospecting by identifying treasury management opportunities
• Conducting outbound calls to engage external contacts regarding treasury services
• Participating in networking events to promote treasury and cash management solutions
• Maintain and strengthen a mature Center of Influence (COI) network across community and business sectors to generate referrals
• Support sales activities by assessing client treasury needs, recommending appropriate solutions, assisting with implementation documentation, and participating in client evaluations
• Develop new relationships and establish strategic partnerships to expand treasury business opportunities

Treasury and Risk Acumen:

• Demonstrates a strong understanding of treasury management products and services, including cash management, payments, receivables, liquidity solutions, and fraud prevention tools
• Recommends appropriate treasury solutions aligned with client operating needs, transaction volumes, and growth strategies
• Reviews financial information and account activity to evaluate treasury usage, risks, and service effectiveness
• Assesses short- and long-term treasury needs based on business cash flow cycles and growth projections
• Educates clients on bank policies, treasury service requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines
• Coordinates with internal teams, implementation partners, and service providers to ensure timely onboarding and support of treasury services
• Balances business objectives with client expectations while identifying and mitigating operational and fraud-related risks
• Adheres to the ethical and professional standards outlined in Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct
• Provides guidance and support to junior team members involved in treasury services
• Ensures compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements, including BSA, AML, and OFAC
• Assists with treasury service documentation and data collection while maintaining fair, ethical, and compliant practices
• Responds to client inquiries and issues promptly and professionally, escalating concerns as appropriate

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• College degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of five years of experience in treasury management, cash management, or financial services preferred
• Ten or more years of experience in business banking, financial services, or client relationship roles preferred
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
