Job Description: Banking Associate

As a Banking Associate at Rockland Trust, your primary responsibility is to support the daily operations of the bank while providing exceptional customer service. You’ll assist customers with their banking needs, including processing transactions, answering inquiries, and promoting financial products. In this role, you will work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations and deliver an outstanding banking experience for clients.

With a strong customer focus, you will build relationships, guide clients through their financial needs, and recommend the most appropriate solutions for their goals. You will also gain exposure to various banking operations, including processing checks, deposits, and withdrawals, as well as learning about loan products and services.

What You'll Do:

• Assist clients with banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing.
• Provide personalized recommendations for financial products, such as savings accounts, loans, and credit services.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a seamless banking experience.
• Work closely with team members to meet departmental goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Promote a positive and professional image of the bank through effective customer interactions.
• Help manage lobby flow and ensure customers are promptly assisted during busy periods.
• Engage in various administrative tasks, including data entry and record keeping for banking transactions.
• Support the management team with day-to-day operations and assist with branch events and promotions.

Required Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous customer service or retail experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and general computer skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong interest in banking, finance, and customer service.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
