Financial Drifter

Job Summary:

A Financial Drifter is tasked with providing tailored financial services to customers by aiding them with their daily banking needs, overseeing the opening and maintenance of accounts, and recommending relevant products and services.

Fundamental Tasks and Roles:

Business Development:

• Efficiently establish a reliable schedule for SBA business growth in the industry, encompassing various aspects like:
• Telephone strategy and post-communication steps
• Client retention calls
• New client prospecting
• Engaging in telephone communication to make connections
• Networking events
• Uphold and strengthen an evolved COI network encompassing prominent members from various community and business sectors to drive referral production
• Overseeing sales functions, evaluating credit, structuring loans appropriately, preparing and submitting SBA loan applications, conducting client interviews, and assessing personal qualities
• Cultivate and nurture new business relationships to propel growth and success

Credit Acumen:

• Shows expertise in navigating business credit options, understanding:
• Developing relevant terms and items in alignment with the company’s needs, asset longevity, and strategic growth objectives
• The scrutiny of financial documents and tax records is fundamental in the process of gauging creditworthiness and risk for individuals and businesses
• Identifying short- and long-range credit needs by examining business sales cycles and growth strategies
• Educates aspiring clients about the bank's criteria for loan approval, SBA initiatives, and relevant regulatory standards
• Works together with attorneys, loan closing agents, and internal team members to secure efficient loan closing and funding within the specified timeframe
• Negotiates between business necessities and customer requests while monitoring and limiting potential risks
• Abides by the ethical guidelines outlined by Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct
• Assists junior SBA lenders in navigating their roles and responsibilities effectively
• Follows the established rules and regulations set forth by the bank, which encompass BSA, AML, and OFAC requirements
• Manages loan applications and collects required applicant details while ensuring compliance with equitable lending standards and ethical sales methodologies
• Addresses customer complaints efficiently and professionally, escalating unresolved matters appropriately

Education and Experience:

• Meeting the educational standard of a high school diploma or equivalent is obligatory
• Having completed a financial-related discipline in college is advantageous
• A background in SBA lending for a minimum of five years is the preferred qualification
• Applicants need to demonstrate a track record of at least 10 years in business development or financial services
• Demonstrates advanced communication skills in writing, speech, and interpersonal interactions
• Ability in working with desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office tools
