Agile Financial Services Specialist

Job Summary:

The Agile Financial Services Specialist delivers tailored financial solutions by assisting clients with day-to-day banking needs, managing account openings and maintenance, and recommending suitable financial products and services.

Business Development:

• Rapidly establish a consistent cadence for SBA business growth within the market, including activities such as:
• Planning and coordinating phone conversations, and tracking follow-up actions
• Client retention outreach to strengthen existing relationships
• Prospecting new clients to expand the customer base
• Utilizing outbound calls to build connections with prospects and clients
• Participating in networking events to enhance professional relationships
• Maintain and expand a well-established COI network of community and business leaders to drive referral opportunities
• Managing sales activities, analyzing creditworthiness, structuring loans, preparing and submitting SBA loan applications, conducting client meetings, and assessing individual characteristics
• Creating new relationships and partnerships to foster business growth and opportunities

Credit Acumen:

• Demonstrates proficiency in business credit solutions, including:
• Designing terms and offerings that meet business needs, asset lifecycle, and growth strategies
• Reviewing financial statements and tax records to assess creditworthiness and evaluate risk for individuals and businesses
• Assessing short- and long-term credit requirements in alignment with business sales cycles and projected growth
• Advising clients on bank lending standards, SBA programs, and relevant government regulations
• Collaborating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal teams to ensure timely closing and funding of loans
• Balancing business priorities with customer needs while effectively managing risk exposure
• Following Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and ethical guidelines
• Mentoring junior SBA lenders to support their professional development
• Adhering to bank policies and regulatory standards, including BSA, AML, and OFAC compliance
• Evaluating loan applications and gathering necessary applicant data while maintaining fair lending and ethical sales practices
• Handling customer inquiries professionally and escalating issues when necessary

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Finance-related college degree is preferred
• Minimum of five years of direct experience in SBA lending is desirable
• At least 10 years of experience in business development and/or financial services
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
