Job Description for Personal Banker Support:
The Personal Banker Support is a Financial Center position focused on using a consultative sales process to proactively identify and meet the financial needs of customers or prospects. The Personal Banker I is primarily responsible for acquiring new households and/or deepening existing customer relationships through a variety of activities, including but not limited to lobby leadership aisle time and tele-consulting. This role also includes processing teller transactions and working as a member of the platform staff.
Key job functions and essential tasks:
Employ the consultative sales approach and perform a comprehensive review of the customer's financial requirements to create a detailed customer profile and highlight both current and anticipated financial needs.
Possess a profound knowledge of retail consumer and small business products/services to offer recommendations that emphasize our value proposition.
Employ CAMP and other authorized marketing tools to actively engage with clients and schedule regular financial review appointments.
The main objective is to cross-sell to the current customers and participate in outside sales activities as required, which may involve organizing Membership Advantage presentations, making sales calls to businesses, joining community events that promote financial literacy, and similar tasks as directed.
Cultivate strong ties with designated Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial, and Investment) to provide timely referrals for clients seeking comprehensive financial assistance.
Enhancing customer experience levels and meeting or exceeding individual/team productivity benchmarks to boost year-over-year revenue growth as indicated in the Financial Center profit and loss statement.
Guide customer service representatives on enhancing their performance in sales and referrals.
Nurture customer satisfaction by providing assistance with a friendly and supportive attitude while maintaining professionalism.
Act with confidence by answering customer questions and owning customer issues.
Cultivate a reputation of trust and responsibility by prioritizing the confidentiality of sensitive business information.
Observe the principles outlined in the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other relevant policies, maintaining ethical standards consistently.
Abide by the designated procedures and guidelines when launching/dealing with the entire range of Retail items.
Engage in the procedures involved in consumer loan and credit card transactions, taking responsibility for sourcing loans from application to the closing process.
Engage in the opening and closing operations at the Financial Center or Bank Mart under the supervision of the Financial Center Manager.
Stay informed about the latest retail procedures put in place to prevent fraudulent behavior and reduce exposure to potential risks.

By obtaining a college degree, accumulating work experience with skills that can be applied flexibly, or integrating both approaches, individuals can expand their opportunities for career advancement.
Candidates with a financial background are preferred.
Proven capability in establishing a relaxed approach to sales activities designed to attract new customers from residential and small business sectors or promote additional services to existing clientele.
Proficiency in applying advanced math functions is necessary for accurate analysis of credit and financial data.
One must be able to embody a professional image and articulate effectively when representing Fifth Third Bank.
Showcased skill in acquiring a working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
In order to qualify for this position, registration through the S.A.F.E. Act and the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is mandatory at the outset of employment.
