Job Description:

As the primary point of contact for customers, the Teller plays a key role in delivering FirstBank’s high service standards. This position involves processing transactions in accordance with bank policies, assisting customers with inquiries, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and appropriate referrals.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with transactional needs following established procedures, brand standards, and service expectations, including providing information on account balances, transaction history, fees, and interest rates.
• Maintain daily operational standards by securing cash drawers, balancing daily cash totals, following item processing procedures, detecting counterfeit currency, handling coin sorting and wrapping, reconciling ATM balances, and maintaining teller station supplies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of banking products and educate customers on digital banking solutions such as mobile banking, online banking, ATMs, and other digital services.
• Identify customer needs and refer them to appropriate banking partners for additional services and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with bank security procedures and confidentiality standards, including CTRs, SARs, Regulation CC holds, documentation requirements, and robbery prevention protocols.
• Deliver consistent and high-quality customer service aligned with FirstBank standards.
• Follow all banking regulations, internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, including fraud prevention and secure cash handling practices.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Basic computer and math skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be bonded within the first six months of employment.
