Role Overview:

The Cash Handling Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately processing a variety of financial transactions. This role is vital for fostering strong customer relationships and supporting the efficient daily operations of the branch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process financial transactions including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments with accuracy and attention to detail
• Operate a cash drawer to assist clients and bank staff at the branch or drive-through facility
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer clients to the appropriate bank personnel
• Develop skills to detect potential fraud and report any concerns to management
• Ensure compliance with departmental, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures
• Maintain and uphold the Wintrust organizational culture
• Assist with opening and closing procedures to support smooth branch operations
• Participate in community events as required

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of six months experience in cash handling or customer service
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to travel between branches as needed
• Flexibility to work all shifts, including Saturdays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Capable of standing for extended periods
