Job Overview:

The Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for servicing consumer, small business, SBA, and commercial loans within an environment of high work volumes and strict deadlines. Works on complex assignments requiring independent action and initiative to resolve problems and develop recommendations. This role interacts with bank staff at all levels, customers, escrow/title personnel, attorneys, and various external professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out loan servicing functions by engaging in general loan upkeep, processing payments, entering information, creating loan documentation, perfecting liens, assisting with escrow and tax responsibilities, reviewing flood documentation, and reconciling the general ledger.
• Implement structured steps to manage a variety of loan applications, encompassing consumer, small business, and commercial loans, while meeting compliance standards.
• Ensure exceptional support and timely answers for requests from both inside and outside the organization.
• Collect performance measures to support leadership in coordinating and fine-tuning daily tasks.
• Take part in initiatives focused on enhancing efficiency and support in incorporating workflow improvements.
• Verify accuracy, ensure timely completion, and keep stakeholders informed for potential reallocation.
• Offer guidance and support as a knowledgeable authority on loan servicing practices, policies, and procedures.
• Support, educate, and ensure that team members are well-versed in their roles.
• Take part in joint initiatives that involve teams from different areas and branches.
• Ensure compliance with bank regulations, policies, and procedures by staying current with updates.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A high school diploma or GED is a must; it is preferable to have an Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
• Expertise in advanced consumer, SBA, or commercial/business loan servicing gathered over a period of 2-4 years.
• Profound expertise in consumer, SBA, and commercial/business loans, along with lending services, products, and required documentation.
• Capacity to juggle various responsibilities at once and acclimate to frequent shifts in work processes.
• Skilled in mathematics, analytical thinking, problem resolution, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication expertise applicable throughout all tiers of a company.
• Skilled in operating computer software like Word, Excel, loan administration systems, and various office utilities.
• Skilled at efficiently operating in a fast-paced service-driven environment.
• Attentiveness to details combined with a sharp analytical mindset.
