As a Business Banking Officer at Rockland Trust, you are tasked with building and fostering strong relationships that serve to deliver an energetic banking experience for both customers and colleagues. What You'll Do:
Participate in consultative dialogues with important customers to cultivate rapport and extend relationships, ensuring they believe in your capacity to address their financial needs.
Combine teamwork and independent initiatives to maximize customer engagement, identify sales prospects, and develop financial solutions for customer needs.
Accurately handle standard customer transactions following established policies and level of authority, which may involve tasks like processing check transactions, accepting deposits, and facilitating withdrawals for clients in the personal and business sectors.
Handle routine and complex inquiries related to customer accounts, products, services, policies, and procedures; troubleshoot customer issues and ensure satisfactory outcomes.
Develop unique customer touchpoints through regular digital communications and maintain a cohesive customer experience across all platforms, both traditional and digital.
Amplify sales momentum for upcoming events by guiding and mentoring branch employees as a role model.
Actively engage clients in discussions to understand their needs and proactively recommend suitable bank deposit and loan products and services.
Implement technology and various digital channels, internally and externally, to assist customers and enhance customer engagement.
Utilize understanding of statutes to evaluate and accept loan applications, including Home Equity loans.
Cultivate and sustain strong working alliances, with both clients and peers.
Utilize Salesforce for customer engagement, conversations, and effective follow-up strategies.
Partner with the Branch Manager to cultivate and sustain a culture focused on effective lobby management and active customer outreach initiatives, with the goal of elevating customer satisfaction within and beyond the branch setting.
Maintain a focus on operational, regulatory, and security protocols while managing customer interactions to protect the Bank from potential losses
Be ready to take on added responsibilities and tasks as required.
Required Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree or 2-4 years of accomplishment in sales and service roles in retail, hospitality, or financial services is required for this position.
Certification by NMLS and being a Notary Public are required.
Displays excellence in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Possesses expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to effectively operate different types of equipment and mobile devices.
Excelling in organizational tasks, with a primary focus on precision and attention to detail.
Maintaining a strong sales-centric approach while skillfully managing various priorities and adapting techniques as needed for different situations.
The ability to work intuitively and devise creative solutions in the face of problems is highly beneficial.
Adapt at carrying out common office responsibilities, involving prolonged standing periods in indoor and outdoor branch environments, while ensuring continual customer communication.
Proficient in the lifting and transportation of items up to 50 pounds.
Demonstrating a willingness and proficiency in operating within a flexible work schedule that may include weekends, based on customer demands.
Illustrating the skill to successfully conclude our training regimen.
