Job Summary:Floating Banker

The Floating Banker delivers personalized financial solutions by assisting clients with everyday banking needs, managing account openings and maintenance, and recommending suitable banking products and services.

Business Development:

• Establish a consistent cadence for SBA business growth across the market, including:
• Planning and coordinating phone communications and tracking follow-up actions
• Client retention calls to strengthen existing relationships
• Prospecting new clients to expand the customer base
• Using outbound calls to establish connections with prospects and external contacts
• Participating in networking events to build professional relationships
• Maintain and enhance a robust COI network of influential community and business leaders to foster referrals
• Manage sales operations, evaluate creditworthiness, structure loans, prepare and submit SBA loan applications, conduct client assessments, and review individual characteristics
• Build and nurture new business relationships to support growth and expansion

Credit Acumen:

• Possesses strong knowledge of business credit solutions, including:
• Designing tailored terms and offerings that align with business requirements, asset lifespan, and strategic growth goals
• Analyzing personal and business financial statements and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and risk
• Determining short- and long-term credit needs in alignment with business sales cycles and expansion plans
• Advising clients on bank lending standards, SBA programs, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal staff to ensure timely loan closure and funding
• Balancing business priorities with client expectations while managing risk exposure
• Following the ethical standards outlined in Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct
• Mentoring junior SBA lending professionals to enhance their skills and development
• Ensuring compliance with the bank's policies and regulatory frameworks, including BSA, AML, and OFAC
• Reviewing loan applications and collecting required applicant information while maintaining fair lending and ethical sales practices
• Addressing customer inquiries efficiently and professionally, escalating unresolved issues as needed

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• College degree in a finance-related field is preferred
• At least five years of direct experience in SBA lending is desirable
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development and/or financial services
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
