Teller Associate

Job Description:

This role is responsible for delivering an excellent customer service experience, processing financial transactions, assisting both existing and prospective customers, and supporting branch sales goals.

Position Accountabilities:

Provide exceptional customer service by exceeding customer expectations
Handle basic customer interactions and cash transactions
Reconcile daily cash balances to maintain financial accuracy
Identify referral opportunities to support branch performance goals
Comply with all banking regulations and policies, including Atlantic Union Bankshares’ BSA/AML Policy and Procedures
Identify risks and escalate concerns through appropriate channels
Maintain knowledge of bank products, services, and related business areas
Adapt to evolving digital banking channels and technologies
Perform additional duties as assigned

Organizational Relationship:

This position is supervised by the assigned branch manager or leader.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Cash handling experience preferred
Prior customer service experience required

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Sound business judgment and decision making ability
Proficient computer skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
Flexible and adaptable to changing environments
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
Flexible work schedule based on business needs

Compensation is based on education, experience, and certifications and may include incentive pay or discretionary profit sharing programs.
