Role Overview:

The Wealth Advisor role is a program spanning three years with a base salary, designed for financial advisors or planners focused on providing financial planning assistance and promoting investment management solutions.

To effectively serve Mass Affluent (MA) clients, a Transitional Financial Advisor must capitalize on their expertise to tend to the specific and intricate needs of these clients. This requires identifying their requirements, evaluating financial goals, and recommending investment strategies that are tailored to align with what the client aims to achieve. The FA's role involves serving as the primary connection, accountable for furnishing client assistance and fostering relationships to increase the client's share of investments by aiding them in realizing their objectives regarding asset accumulation, maintenance, growth, and protection.

Depth & Scope:

  • Background in promoting investments and devising financial blueprints
  • Exhibits a clear dedication to customer-centricity by consistently providing outstanding service to promote customer loyalty and business development
  • Ensures that the full on-boarding experience is delivered to all new clientele, involving an extensive client discovery process, executing a financial needs evaluation for advice aligned with goals, arranging an introduction to the centralized client support team based on individual client needs, and finalizing all mandatory client documentation
  • Competence in forming partnerships to drive lead generation efforts
  • Skilled in handling goals, prioritizing tasks, and at ease with fast-paced work environments
  • Makes certain that all clients – old or new – are offered an exceptional MA Planning Experience
  • Implement an organized system to ensure the completion of Annual Client Review (ACR) meetings for all clients, with an advanced agenda concentrating on the client's overall financial well-being and incorporating proactive interactions
  • Functions as the primary liaison for client relationships in the MA segment at TD Wealth, handling all aspects of the client's associations with TD Bank and making referrals to Retail and Wealth partners and associated companies when deemed necessary
  • Executes a specialized approach to serving clients in Massachusetts
  • Attains quarterly and annual sales milestones
  • Expands wallet share through the anticipation of client needs and the recommendation of tailored wealth solutions. Focuses on maximizing profitability and delivering an exceptional client experience
  • Identify prospects within your existing clientele and network for sending business referrals to Retail and Small Business/Commercial Partners
  • Follows regulations, policies, and protocols diligently during execution
  • Abides by federal, state, and SRO regulations in addition to firm-wide policies concerning business operations according to entities like the NY Department of Financial Services and other relevant regulatory bodies
  • Ensures compliance with all Continuing Education prerequisites
  • Tasked with understanding and adhering to the policies and procedures of TD Bank & TD Wealth
  • Tasked with implementing TD's Customer Identification Program (CIP) by gathering and confirming the necessary customer identification information, as well as fulfilling additional Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence Requirements according to the Business Unit AML procedures
  • Reveals the assets of clients and shifts high-end clients to suitable HNW Wealth partners if necessary
  • Accountable for cultivating and adding to a constructive and encouraging work ambiance with an emphasis on aiding the overall Wealth team
  • Supplies coaching, wealth referral education, and continual assessment to Retail and Small Business team members

Education & Experience:

  • A 4-year degree is a prerequisite, or candidates can demonstrate an equal amount of practical experience
  • Established track record of success in the field of investment sales and financial planning spanning more than two years
  • Thorough knowledge of different financial instruments and services available for investment purposes
  • Obligatory certifications consist of the SIE, Series 7, and Series 65/66; individuals with only the Series 65 will be mandated to secure a Series 63 or 66 on the Licensing & Registration agenda
  • Essential Life/Health Licenses or the potential to secure them in accordance with the Licensing & Registration Schedule is crucial
  • In-depth grasp of techniques for developing a wealth management business, incorporating various products, services, and the overall industry context
  • Documented capacity to attain and surpass sales goals
  • Adept at dealing with retail and small business banking operations
  • Proven experience in cultivating strong relationships and effectively collaborating with other divisions at TD Bank, which is renowned as America's Most Convenient Bank
  • Skill in traversing the allocated market to connect with prospects, customers, and partners, with travel accounting for 75% of the working schedule
  • Driver's License required
