Job Description for Floating Banking Associate:

The Floating Banking Associate role will provide services for Banking Center customers and assist the team in achievement of sales, service, and operation goals, based on Webster's Strategic Guidelines. The role will process all customer related financial transactions in accordance with the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Bank. Additionally, this role uses excellent communication and active listening skills to learn about the customer's financial needs, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, generate leads, and provide quality customer service as well as develop and maintain a strong partnership with various business segments through collaboration and communication. Ability to supervise and coach fellow relationship Bankers

Responsibilities for Floating Banking Associate:

• Responding to customers' needs promptly and accurately is about utilizing available resources and tools efficiently
• Understanding the needs of customers and suggesting fitting financial solutions and products through tailored discussions to forge and enrich connections.
• Execute regular teller tasks including handling deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan repayments, and other required financial transactions.
• Aid the segmentation strategy by enacting sales, retention, and diverse bank initiatives to accomplish the growth and profitability aims of the Banking Center.
• The anticipated outcome is to achieve or exceed set benchmarks in sales, service, and operational endeavors, whether working individually or within a team
• Staying in compliance with Federal and State regulations and internal bank policies and procedures. Meeting or exceeding branch audit requirements and operational evaluation benchmarks
• Provide assistance in supervising banking center colleagues through coaching support for fellow bankers. Take on a mentoring role and assist in the onboarding of new team members.

Training, Previous Experience, and Skill Proficiency:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Ideal candidates will have 2-4 years of experience in customer sales and service, with 1-2 years of supervisory experience being advantageous. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire others effectively.
• Complete insight into all products and services provided
• Maintains knowledge of all systems implemented for branch transaction processing.
• Projects excellent customer service skills and a knack for supporting teamwork, ultimately nurturing a positive work environment.
• Being able to work on a flexible and/or rotating schedule, which may involve weekends, extended hours, and traveling to alternate Banking Centers, is a requirement.
