Job Description:

Render excellent, accurate, and prompt customer assistance through the routine handling of financial transactions in a retail banking atmosphere. Serving as the initial contact point for numerous clients, the Account Services Associate forges robust relationships by providing exceptional service, recommending relevant banking products, and directing clients to other Bank sectors as required. This position contributes to revenue enhancement by fostering and upholding enduring, lucrative client connections, ensuring conformity with operational and procedural standards, and managing cash resources adequately.

Qualifications:

• The essential educational criteria for this position include a high school diploma or GED.
• A background in cash handling or teller work for six months is highly desired, or an equivalent combination of educational and experiential qualifications.
• Competency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in the operation of office and banking gadgets, such as a 10-key calculator and coin counter.
• Successful fulfillment of the DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment is mandatory.
• All applicants are required to finish the assessment in approximately 12–15 minutes and turn it in prior to the review of their applications.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Operational Efficiency:

• Safeguard the accuracy of a cash register by implementing secure cash management practices.
• Adhere to all established policies and procedures regarding audits, security, and operations.
• Carry out customer requests related to transactions like deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan repayments.
• Administer miscellaneous transactions such as bonds, municipal coupons, and money orders.
• Support in the daily administration and handling of ATMs, ensuring all essential entries are accurately recorded.
• Authenticating deposits collected from night and lobby depositories.
• Aid in the proper handling of dual control vault obligations.
• Keep yourself updated on operational announcements and procedural reforms to ensure adherence.

Client Experience:

• Deliver unwaveringly positive and professional client encounters.
• Swiftly and competently handle client questions and issues to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Provide guidance to clients on fulfilling select service requirements for an exceptional overall experience.
• Augment expertise in products and services by engaging in sales meetings, training sessions, and online learning opportunities.

Sales and Service:

• Discover opportunities for cross-selling when interacting with customers.
• Refer individuals interested in services to the correct internal partners for a seamless experience.
• Cultivate lasting client relationships by showcasing the value and advantages of utilizing bank offerings.

Compliance and risk management focus on maintaining adherence to regulations while also strategically managing potential risks:

• Comply with the bank's regulations, policies, procedures, and internal monitoring mechanisms.
• Adhere to the standard risk management practices while also following the ethical guidelines of the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
