Job Overview:

As a Citizens Banker at Citizens Financial Group, you will be at the heart of our retail banking operations, providing exceptional customer service and a broad range of banking products and services. In this role, you will build lasting relationships with customers, identify their financial needs, and recommend tailored solutions to help them achieve their financial goals. Whether through in-person interactions, phone conversations, or digital channels, you will play a critical role in delivering the Citizens experience by offering personalized advice, efficient service, and expert knowledge of banking products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement:
• Greet and welcome customers to the branch, providing a positive, professional, and friendly experience.
• Proactively engage with customers to understand their financial goals and offer solutions that fit their needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by offering ongoing support and guidance on their financial journey.
• Sales & Referrals:
• Promote and cross-sell a variety of products and services, including checking accounts, savings accounts, loans, and credit products.
• Actively identify opportunities to refer customers to other areas of the bank, such as mortgage, investment, and business banking services.
• Transaction Services:
• Process a variety of customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
• Problem Solving:
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.
• Ensure that customer complaints are handled with care and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
• Adhere to all applicable banking regulations, including customer identification requirements, anti-money laundering rules, and bank security procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with branch team members to meet branch goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and coaching to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus.
• Experience:
• Previous experience in customer service or retail banking is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Skills:

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
• Basic knowledge of financial products and services (or willingness to learn).
• Ability to identify sales opportunities and meet individual and team goals.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle cash and financial transactions accurately.

Technology:

• Comfort with using banking systems, ATMs, and digital platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic software applications.
