Job Overview:

The Teller Representative acts as the primary customer contact point, delivering high-quality FirstBank service by handling day-to-day banking transactions, supporting customer inquiries, and identifying potential referral or cross-sell opportunities in line with bank guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions efficiently while following established policies, service standards, and brand expectations, including providing information on balances, transaction history, fees, and interest details.
• Maintain accurate daily cash operations by securing cash drawers, balancing transactions, following processing procedures, detecting counterfeit currency, handling coin processing, reconciling ATM activity, and ensuring teller stations are properly stocked.
• Educate customers on available banking products and digital services such as mobile banking, online platforms, ATMs, and other electronic banking solutions.
• Identify customer needs and direct them to appropriate banking specialists for additional services or product offerings.
• Ensure compliance with all security and regulatory requirements, including CTRs, SARs, Regulation CC holds, documentation standards, and robbery prevention procedures.
• Deliver consistent and professional customer service aligned with FirstBank’s service excellence standards.
• Follow all banking regulations, internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, especially those related to fraud prevention and secure cash handling.
• Maintain consistent attendance and reliability in daily operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• Requires handling of sensitive and confidential financial information.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and FirstBank policies is essential.

Qualifications:

• Basic computer literacy and numerical skills are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• Less than two years of prior experience preferred.
• Must complete bonding requirements within the first six months of employment.
