The job of a Investment Advisor involves assessing clients' financial situations, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to help them achieve their financial objectives
This role is accountable to invoke trust and build strong client relationships, determine individual investment needs and provide professional, customized advice to ensure client's financial goals are met. You will provide a superior client onboarding experience, actively reviewing client portfolios and preparing and presenting appropriate investment solutions by leveraging various tools provided by the bank. Being the first point of client contact, the Financial Advisor's core mandate is to provide investment recommendations based on client suitability, time frame and goals. The Investment Advisor has the ultimate goal of building and solidifying customer loyalty while deepening client relationships.
Customer:
Having a clear understanding of financial markets and being able to gauge when to advise clients is fundamental
Educating clients about acceptable risks and the performance standards required to meet their financial goals is crucial for fostering trust and strong customer relationships.
Nurtures excellent client relationships and devises customized strategies to assist clients in meeting their financial goals.

Mutual Funds

Managed Accounts
Marked Linked CDs
Unit Investment Trust
Retirement planning
Yearly analyses of fee-based account developments
Financial:
Accountable for fostering the ongoing growth of the portfolio
Attain the monthly sales benchmark
External Asset Procurement (which encompasses obtaining from both existing and potential customers)
Advice on Maturities
Uncovering uninvested opportunities
Risk:
Abiding by the internal and FINRA auditing guidelines
As the gatekeeper, the Advisor holds the responsibility for authorizing processes and actions that adhere to the requirements outlined by industry regulatory bodies

Shielding client Personal Information from Breaches
Trading:
Accuracy
Discipline order/confirmation
Establish the need for the trade transaction
Adhere to the Best Interest Contract (BIC) for every piece of advice offered
Remain up to date and responsive to the constantly changing regulatory climate
Possess extensive familiarity and play a crucial role in software applications like LPL's ClientWorks, SalesForce, and Moneyguide-Pro
Decision Making - Suggest investment options that are in line with the client's suitability, timeframe, and objectives
Provides wealth and investment solutions and recommendations to BMO customers and prospects by assessing their financial needs. Delivers personalized wealth and investment strategies that align with the client's best interests.
Manages sales and service interactions with customers by following established procedures and identifies prospects for referral to other company divisions.
Mastering knowledge on Cost Basis, Tax documents, IRA (Individual Retirement Account) RMD (Required Minimum Distribution) withdrawals, and consequences of early withdrawal penalties is fundamental for financial proficiency
Confirm client account accuracy and secure regulatory validations
Apply influence to guide the formulation of investment recommendations per the requirements of the BIS and relevant securities laws
The role plays a crucial part in the successful achievement of key objectives within the business unit
Knowledge and Skills:
The position calls for a minimum of 3-5 years of financial industry experience along with a university degree
Professionals in the financial industry often aim to attain certifications like the Series 7 and 66 licenses, or select a combination such as Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses in addition to insurance licenses for life and health coverage
The prerequisites for obtaining a clean background check as per U4 guidelines need to be achieved
BMO and FINRA are tasked with the oversight of continuing education initiatives
