Job Description:

U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management (PWM) helps clients identify and achieve their financial goals through a holistic approach. Our teams provide expert advice on wealth and estate planning, investments, banking, credit, insurance, charitable giving, and fiduciary administration. PWM also specializes in business-sale advisory and pre-transaction planning.

The Private Wealth Advisor (PWA) is responsible for identifying, acquiring, and deepening client relationships. This role leverages knowledge of investments, banking, estate planning, and trust services to offer comprehensive financial solutions tailored to client needs. The PWA is expected to drive growth by building relationships both internally and externally, with support from a team of specialists. Additionally, the PWA serves as a U.S. Bank representative in the community and acts as a conduit for PWM’s strategic partners in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, acquire, and deepen relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Provide comprehensive wealth and estate planning advice, including investments, banking, credit, insurance, and fiduciary services.
  • Use an understanding of client circumstances and needs to frame tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists to address client needs across various areas of expertise.
  • Act as a representative of Private Wealth Management in the community, connecting clients with strategic partners.
  • Drive sales and development of new client relationships within PWM.
  • Manage and prioritize client relationships with a holistic approach.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience working with high and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Established network and strong relationship management, networking, and business development skills.
  • Success in specific client segments or verticals, with developed strategic partnerships.
  • Experience profiling clients and creating customized strategies to meet their needs.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a team of specialists to address client needs.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Passion for problem-solving and acting as a strategic advisor to clients.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and take ownership of business outcomes.
  • Professional designations such as CFA or CFP are preferred.
