A Business Credit Underwriter is being sought by the Centralized Commercial Lending Renewal Team to evaluate business loan applications in line with the Bank's set policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of Business Credit Underwriter:

• Review cash flow projections and Moody's spreadsheets, whether they are generated internally or by the Credit Analyst. Perform a detailed evaluation of financial information to make a recommendation on approving or denying new loan applications as outlined in Bank policies. Craft a succinct Credit Origination Memorandum that identifies strengths, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Analyze and evaluate financial and pertinent data to establish the creditworthiness of loan applicants and the suitability of specific loan requests. Collaborate with Relationship Managers and senior executives to compile all necessary information essential for thorough and precise assessments of loan viability.
• Generate comprehensive credit approval documents with a focus on detailed analysis and identification of credit concerns and potential risks. Utilize Excel to analyze and interpret financial statements, tax returns, and future projections accurately.
• Provide suggestions on loan organization strategies and alternative structures appropriate for various transactions.
• Functioning effectively in a high-capacity atmosphere, ensuring timely credit decisions while meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements and turnaround benchmarks.
• Carry out distinct assignments on credit issues and themes as sought by Bank Credit departments.
• Uphold the Bank Secrecy Act's regulations by following the necessary policies and procedures, as well as familiarizing yourself with customer profiles and enhanced due diligence guidelines.
• Fulfill other duties as directed.

Requirements for Business Credit Underwriter:

• The job necessitates a Bachelor's degree or a similar convergence of academic qualifications and practical exposure.
• Substantial exposure to commercial credit underwriting through a tenure of three (3) to five (5) years.

• Fundamental comprehension of the assessment of credit risk in the context of commercial lending.
• Skill in engaging effectively with individuals at different levels of the organization.
• Successfully working in a team that is focused on meeting deadlines within a specified timeframe.
• Advanced abilities in MS Office, with a focus on Excel expertise.
• Possesses the ability to multitask effectively, exhibit a structured approach to organization, and demonstrate a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to function without supervision and come to logical conclusions.
• Strong capabilities in effectively communicating through both written and oral channels to convey messages accurately.
• Knowledge of standard bank practices and understanding of deposit, small business, investment, and insurance instruments.
• Ability to work with Moody's CreditLens is important.
• It is advantageous to be familiar with nCino.
