Financial Consultant

Job Description:

This role provides consultative, sales, and technical support to one or more Financial Advisors while actively contributing to strategic planning, client relationship management, and execution of the team’s value proposition. The Financial Consultant works closely with advisors to meet client needs, source prospective clients, and support the overall growth of the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to establishing the strategic direction of the Financial Advisor team to support revenue growth.
• Consult with clients and prospects by analyzing goals, objectives, and risk tolerance to recommend and implement suitable investment products and services.
• Support clients with trades, information requests, research needs, account issues, and general service inquiries.
• Provide ongoing relationship management through regular reviews, advisory discussions, and client service initiatives.
• Assist in preparing and delivering client presentations and engagement materials.
• Support the Advisor in developing and sustaining profitable securities and insurance sales through networking, internal referrals, and identified opportunities.
• Maintain adherence to Truist’s professional standards and applicable regulatory requirements, including those of FINRA and other governing bodies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Banking, or related field—or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience, including at least 1 year in the securities industry.
• FINRA Series 7 and 66 required.
• Applicable state health and life insurance licenses, aligned with the registrations of supported advisors.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to pursue additional industry credentials in wealth or investment management.
