Overview:

This position emphasizes elevating customer satisfaction by utilizing digital platforms, overseeing the lobby area, managing transactions, and providing retail assistance. The primary duties involve accurately completing financial transactions and delivering exceptional customer service in every interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Elevate the quality of customer interactions by comprehending their specific demands and presenting tailored responses. Advocate for self-service alternatives and facilitate digital showcases to enhance customer understanding and engagement.
• Engage with customers present in the lobby, extend greetings, and promptly cater to their immediate concerns as part of Lobby Management.
• Conduct precise customer transactions, reconcile cash funds, and adhere to bank protocols.
• Take responsibility for handling escalated account service issues and work towards resolving them in a timely manner, recording complaints in the appropriate system.
• Sales Referrals focus on pinpointing chances for sales growth and effectively directing clients towards suitable banking contacts.
• Branch Operations: Conduct operational duties pertaining to branch activities like placing cash orders, managing the vault, handling ATM operations, and processing wire transfers.
• Maintain compliance with operational risk management procedures and regulatory norms. Carry out essential AML/BSA/KYC tasks and back internal control measures.
• Emphasize the importance of providing top-notch customer care, resolving typical customer problems, and exhibiting empathy, flexibility, and analytical thinking consistent with M&T Bank's values. Work towards swift resolution of operational matters within branches and aiding in the prevention of unnecessary losses and fraudulent behavior.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or a GED is necessary.
• A minimum of six months in a customer service role that includes responsibilities like data entry and managing cash transactions.
• Proficient in communicating verbally and interpersonally.
• Capacity to determine importance, efficiently utilize time, and uphold orderliness.
• Competence in internet-based tools.
• Proficiency in multiple languages is considered an asset, depending on the demands of the branch in question.

Physical Requirements:

• Aptitude to stand for extended periods and utilize hands and fingers for prolonged periods.
• Capacity to handle loads with weights varying from 5 lbs to 30 lbs.
• Capability to interpret minute details and interact directly with clients.
