Job Description:

In a retail banking setting, offer high-quality, precise, and timely customer service through the daily processing of financial transactions and account openings. The Banking Services Associate educates potential clients about bank offerings and provides tailored recommendations to current customers to foster stronger connections. Contributing to banking center objectives by achieving sales and referral targets, this position engages in outbound sales efforts and supports banking center management as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prospective candidates must have achieved a high school diploma or GED to be eligible for the position.
• Having worked as a Teller for a year is favorable.
• Meeting the credit check criteria is a crucial part of the background verification that needs to be successfully accomplished.

Sales and Service:

• Ensure efficient service delivery by offering necessary support to tellers and customers to reduce wait times.
• Engage in teller transactions which involve processing deposits, withdrawals, handling currency and coins, and cashing checks.
• Handle the setup and upkeep of deposit accounts, which include checking, savings, IRAs, CDs, and money market accounts.
• Employ consultative communication to identify client needs and suggest relevant financial solutions.
• Enhance client interactions by cross-promoting various services and facilitating introductions to partner banks, thus creating opportunities for business expansion and improved customer relationships.
• Participate in special deposit and loan campaigns by conducting regular outbound calls to clients and prospects.
• Guide clients through the personal and retail consumer loan application procedures and forward the completed applications to the right associate.

Client Experience:

• Analyze and resolve client problems while addressing inquiries about the status of their accounts.
• Ensure that clients consistently receive positive and professional service interactions.
• Address and resolve client inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.
• Elevate your product and service acumen by actively participating in sales meetings, educational sessions, and online training materials.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Conform to all applicable banking regulations, policies, procedures, and internal governance frameworks.
• Adhere to the established risk management guidelines along with the ethical framework provided in the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
• Adhere to the guidelines set forth in the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and its interconnected regulations.

Operational Efficiency:

• Provide guidance to banking center staff on operational activities, with a specific emphasis on audit control procedures.
• Facilitate the training of new associates by providing real-world experience in banking center operations.
• Keep yourself up-to-date on operational changes and procedural updates to ensure continuous compliance.
• Complete any job-related tasks as directed.

Technology and Office Skills:

• Proficiency in navigating and utilizing Microsoft Office Suite tools.
• Proficient in the utilization of office and banking devices, including a 10-key calculator and coin counter.

DeGarmo Behavioral Assessment Requirement:

• Fulfilling the DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment is a prerequisite for all applicants.
• The completion of the assessment usually takes around 12-15 minutes.
