Job Description:

The Universal Teller serves as the first point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional FirstBank service, processing transactions in accordance with bank policies, assisting customers with inquiries, and identifying and referring cross-selling opportunities when appropriate.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist customers with financial transactions following established procedures, brand standards, and service protocols, including responding to basic inquiries such as account balances, transaction history, fees, and loan rates.
• Maintain daily operational standards including cash drawer security, reconciliation of cash transactions, item processing procedures, counterfeit detection, coin handling, ATM balancing, and teller station maintenance.
• Demonstrate knowledge of banking products and educate customers on digital banking solutions such as mobile banking, online banking, ATMs, and other technology-driven services.
• Identify customer needs and refer them to appropriate banking partners for additional products and services.
• Protect the bank by following established procedures and confidentiality requirements, including CTRs, SARs, Regulation CC holds, documentation standards, and robbery prevention protocols.
• Deliver consistent and high-quality customer service aligned with FirstBank service standards.
• Follow all banking regulations, internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, including fraud prevention and cash handling security measures.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Requires understanding of banking regulations and compliance standards, including FirstBank-specific policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Basic computer and mathematical skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Less than two years of relevant experience required.
• Must be bonded within the first six months of employment.
