Job Summary:

The Mortgage Team Supervisor oversees a team of Mortgage Loan Originators to ensure sales targets are reached and operational standards are upheld. This role involves developing talent, evaluating performance, cultivating client relationships, and enforcing compliance with mortgage regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the day-to-day responsibilities of a limited number of Mortgage Loan Originators.
• Secure the required paperwork promptly from the suitable channels for processing, underwriting, and completing tasks on schedule.
• Reach the specific loan volume origination goals outlined by senior executives each year.
• Build and uphold referral networks with real estate professionals, developers, and other relevant parties to guarantee a steady volume of loan clientele.
• Participate actively in trade groups for mortgage bankers, real estate professionals, and builders at both local and state levels.
• Ensure a solid grasp of the mortgage field's information and ongoing concerns.
• Encourage the formation of collaborative alliances within U.S. Bank Home Mortgage and across various business lines to advance customer relationships and facilitate the sale of more products.
• Bring in, screen, and develop new employees through interviews and training sessions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Securing a high school diploma or a similar credential is a standard educational attainment
• Over two years of professional background in mortgage sales

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Exhibited capabilities in developing novel business initiatives and effectively managing client interactions
• Strong grasp of sales methodologies and strategies
• Profound grasp of mortgage products, services, operations, and prevailing market trends
• Knowledge of the pricing and underwriting stipulations from multiple mortgage insurance providers is important
• Familiarity with the underwriting requirements for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, local bonding programs, and private investors is necessary, whether obtained through firsthand experience in the sector or through prior employment with a real estate brokerage
• Proficient in navigating legal frameworks from the local to national levels, encompassing zoning ordinances, Truth-in-Lending regulations, RESPA, and energy audit stipulations
• Effective customer service and relationship-building competencies
• Having a sharp eye for details and the proficiency to analyze financial information
• Effective communication skills encompassing interpersonal, verbal, and written aspects
• It is imperative that employees can satisfy the necessary conditions for performing duties away from their regular place of work
• Establishing a referral system in a given market is the preferred method
• Proven success in mortgage loan origination backed by 2 years of experience
