Job Title: Loan Operations Associate

Job Overview:

The Loan Operations Associate manages consumer, small business, SBA, and commercial loans in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. The role involves proactive problem-solving, offering recommendations, and collaborating with bank personnel, clients, escrow/title agents, lawyers, and other external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute tasks related to loan administration, including managing loan details, processing payments, entering data, generating loan documents, ensuring lien perfection, supporting escrow and tax matters, performing flood reviews, and reconciling the general ledger.
• Follow company procedures and legal guidelines when processing various loan types for individual and small business clients.
• Deliver exceptional service and timely responses to internal and external inquiries.
• Collect and analyze data to assist management in organizing and improving daily operations.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and support workflow enhancements.
• Maintain accuracy, meet deadlines, and provide updates on tasks for potential reassignment.
• Act as a subject matter expert in loan servicing and support team members in understanding procedures and regulations.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and skill development to colleagues as needed.
• Collaborate on projects across different departments and business units.
• Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures while staying informed of updates.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in consumer, SBA, or commercial/business loan management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of consumer, SBA, and commercial/business loan products, processes, and documentation.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to frequent workflow changes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication skills—interpersonal, verbal, and written—across all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, loan management systems, and other office software.
• Ability to perform efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

Compensation:

Salary is determined by relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, which will be discussed during the hiring process.
